On Thursday, SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly sharply criticized MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski for her defense of Kamala Harris following Harris’s tense interview with Fox News’s Bret Baier.

The interview marked Harris’s first appearance on the network, where she discussed her policy platform.

During a segment on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly highlighted a specific moment from the interview in which Harris expressed indignation regarding a clip of former President Donald Trump referring to his political opponents as “the enemy from within.”

Brzezinski later criticized Baier for airing this clip.

Kelly stated, “She [Harris] decided to get, once again, to feigned indignation over him allegedly playing the wrong sound bite, as if like Trump didn’t say it and that’s what Bret was trying to get.

That’s not at all — he’s trying to get you to respond to his defense. It’s called an opportunity for you, madam, to take a shot at Trump’s defense.”

She continued her critique by addressing Brzezinski’s response, stating, “This is their favorite clip over on MS[NBC] this morning, oh, [with] Mika Brzezinski [saying,] ‘Good for her! Bret Baier used to be a respected journalist. He’s a hack! He queued up the wrong —’ That’s not what Trump said. You people are too stupid to live. This is so dumb, you’re so dumb! Either you’re dumb or you’re dishonest; I think probably both, to be perfectly honest.”

The interview between Harris and Baier, lasting less than 30 minutes, quickly escalated in tension.

Harris pushed back on Baier almost immediately when the topic of the border was raised.

Critics, including various political pundits, noted Harris’s lack of detailed responses during the discussion.

In contrast, Brzezinski defended Kamala on Thursday, calling the interview “an embarrassing, bad-faith effort.”

“It was supposed to give viewers an opportunity to actually hear her plans as president. Instead, as you saw, it almost immediately devolved into an embarrassing, bad-faith effort by a once-respected host to play to an audience of one,” Brzezinski commented on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

After the interview concluded, Baier shared with Fox viewers that Harris arrived late to the scheduled meeting.

He also noted that her staff reportedly attempted to cut the conversation short at one point, with Baier observing they were “waving their hands” to signal an end to the discussion.

Kelly’s comments reflect a broader concern among conservatives regarding Harris’s media appearances and her ability to engage with tough questions about her policies.
